Sydney Dragon is a young and energetic football team with a history of 14 years. It was first established in 2005 by a group of Chinese students who had big dreams in football. Members are now working in different industries but still passionate about their “Football Dreams”.
Sydney Dragon has been participating in various football games in Sydney Chinese community since 2005. It had always been in a steady position of top three and obtained a Silver medal in 2011.
2012 was a big year for Sydney Dragon since it achieved championship in Australia Chinese Soccer Association (ACSA) League without any loss or draw throughout the season. This achievement was considered as a milestone in history of ACSA League.
Sydney Dragon joined Merrylands Soccer Football Club in 2013 and started playing in Granville District Football Super League. It proudly won the premier in season of 2014. In the same year, Sydney Dragon Football Club was officially registered with NSW Fair Trading.
